Overview

The Newborn Intensive Care Program (NICP) provides in-home community health nursing services to assist families and their newborns during the transition from the Newborn Intensive Care Unit to their home and community.

Responsibilities

Want to make a difference? Come join a home-visiting team of Registered Nurses who serve first-time pregnant mothers in the South Phoenix area. Home visits occur from pregnancy until the child turns two years. This is a relationship based Community Health position with decades of evidenced-based practice results to support it. We have a great team of caring nurses and supervisors and you will be a part of shaping the lives of first-time mothers, their infants, toddlers, family, and future generations. Home visits take place regularly, your caseload will slowly build to 25 families and you will be a part of regular team meetings, case conferences, and reflective supervision time.  

 

THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION WITH NO BENEFITS.

Qualifications

Experience in Maternal/Child health, pediatrics, community health, and/or home visiting is required. Registered nurse license through the Arizona State Board of Nursing or license eligible.

 

BSN and bilingual English/Spanish REQUIRED.
