Southwest Human Development is seeking a professional who are looking to provide quality training and professional development to First Things First/Quality First Technical Assistance providers and providers working in conjunction with community partners/stakeholders to expand service opportunities under general direction according to agency mission, philosophy, core vales, codes of ethics and goals.

Responsibilities

This person will assist in the delivery of the Quality First Redesign Facilitation Guides. Support planning and implementations, participates as a team trainer, facilitates in person learning communities and online professional learning library virtual learning experiences and ensures professional development delivery in adult learning principles. This professional interfaces with program consultants/coaches and assures statewide collaboration and integration of the QFA/QF Redesign within inter- and intra- agency activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Education, Interdisciplinary Studies-emphasis Early Childhood Education, Family Studies-emphasis Early Childhood Development, and/ or related degree with at least 18 credit hours from an accredited university/ college designating that the course work meets or exceeds Early Childhood Coursework requirement.

 

Direct experience working within Early Childhood Systems/Mentoring and Coaching Models.  (at least 1 year experience).

 

Experience facilitating Early Childhood Training and mentoring/ coaching of Teachers/ Child Development Staff.

 

• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to speak, write, and read Spanish preferred
• Knowledge of DAP and Bilingual Education
• Certification in  First Aid/CPR, Food Handler’s Card, and Fingerprint Clearance Card required
• Functional knowledge of Daycare Licensing Requirements
• Functional knowledge of Quality First and First Things First Systems
• Knowledge of Child Protective Services reporting mandates
