We are seeking experienced mental health professionals who are looking for an expanded role as an early childhood mental health consultant to conduct consultation services with early care and education providers.  These services involve collaborations that enhance the provider’s understanding of and capacity to meet the behavioral/emotional/mental health needs of the children (ages birth to five years) and families they serve. 





Smart Support is Arizona’s Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation System. Our program works in partnership with a variety of early care and education providers, including preschool teachers, home-based and center-based child care providers, and home visiting program staff. ECMHCs collaborate to develop individualized plans to meet program’s needs. Services may include consultation, training and implementation of classroom strategies.  


Smart Support is committed in hiring a diverse team that will meet the needs of the providers we serve. We are seeking both Bilingual (English/Spanish) and Non-bilingual candidates.


This position is offered full time in our Phoenix, AZ office, with additional opportunities for full-time or part-time in Yavapai and Coconino Counties, as well as Navajo Nation. A part-time ECMHC position is also open in Mohave County. Full-time employment includes a comprehensive benefits package as noted below; part-time employment includes partial benefits, pro-rated holiday pay, and sick/vacation hour accruals based on hours worked.  Position is offered full-time with an excellent benefits package. Master’s degree that is license eligible in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy.


At least one year post masters clinical experience.


Preferred experience and knowledge in: working with children ages birth to five and their families; working in a classroom setting and/or consulting with teachers and; special education procedures and the special needs of young children with disabilities and their families.


Excellent organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, e-mail, Excel, etc.), and; valid Arizona drivers license.


Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card preferred OR must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
